Marled Knit

I think the marled knit pattern on this cardigan I bought is perfection. When I saw this inspiration photo I knew immediately how I would copy it. Green cargo jeans are such a great staple to have in my closet. They go with so many things. Mine are getting older and the button has actually popped off! I keep using a safety pin to keep them fastened. I need to sew the button back on, but never get to it.

Spring Trends

Even though it's still winter the spring lookbooks are rolling out now. Suede and fringe are still going strong in line with the 70's trend. Lightweight denim and patchwork patterns are everywhere and it looks like orange is the color for spring. I'm also seeing a lot of white tops in various styles, ruffles, off the shoulder, cold shoulder, and the usual floral patterns that are typical for spring. Examples are below. I'm looking forward to trying the patchwork and orange trend. Which trends are you most excited about trying?

Navy Tights

I'm using another White Plum lookbook photo again for my inspiration outfit here.  I kept saving navy tights looks so I finally bought a pair. I've had these riding boots for a few years now and my only complaint with this outfit is that they look a little loose on top of the thin tights.  I didn't have a scarf similar to hers, so I wore my red white and gray scarf, which matched my cardigan perfectly.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I've been thinking about what I want to wear on Valentine's night. I came up with this outfit because I wanted to wear something red and silky, but still be winter appropriate. This will be my first time wearing this black fur vest that I bought during the holidays. It's a great vest because I can dress it up or down. I've also been browsing Valentine's Day merchandise during my online shopping lately and a few of my favorites are below. What are you going to wear on your Valentine's date?

American Eagle Outfitters Winter Style

Looking at this AEO ad photo makes me really want a pair of fringe moccasins. How cute are they? Instead, I worked the fringe into the outfit by adding my fringe crossbody bag into my recreation and I kept the boots the same color as the bag. I'm wearing the exact same blouse as the photo and I'm wearing the only green jacket I own. Note to self: must. find. fringe. moccasins...

Burgundy, Mustard And Gray

I love the deep burgundy color of her pants against the mustard colored blouse with the light gray blanketing them. I wanted to use this opportunity to match my oxblood flats that I bought from Target to my purse I bought from Old Navy last year instead of wearing burgundy jeans. I like the final result of the outfit and this is also my first time to wear my new H&M mustard yellow blouse, which I love.

Suede Skirt With Paisley Print

I bought this paisley print blouse over 5 years ago at Walmart and I NEVER wore it. I really didn't know how to wear it.  I only knew that I liked the print and I was also excited to see anything by George at Walmart in my size XS 0-2 for 2$! Then I found this photo during a "suede skirt outfit" Pinterest search and there it was, the almost identical color and pattern. I was very close to giving this blouse away and I'm glad I didn't. Maybe it has potential after all.
